Happy Christmas

Wow I can't believe another year come to a close in Happy Dales. What a year its been! Its been busy with bathroom changes, new chickens, goodbyes to old friends and hello to new ones. We have embraced the changes and moved forward to bigger and brighter things.

As is tradition, this morning we had our Christmas Carols. The children practiced so diligently in the last few weeks and today they were a triumph. Each child shined in their own unique way and I am so proud. Without a doubt, they are all superstars! A special thank you to Graham, who recorded our carols and gave everyone some lasting memories.

This term has been busy but fun filled. It has been such a joy getting to know each individual personality. The exuberance and delight the children bring everyday never ceases to amaze me. I am delighted with the progress we have made and look forward to next term to continue our adventures.

Many thanks to all the Happy Dales supporters, who made 2014 so wonderful. Family, friends, parents and children, thank you all so much for choosing and supporting Happy Dales. I am truly thankful for you all. You keep my dreams reality.

I hope you all have a peaceful and merry Christmas. Santa will certainly be kept busy with such good children. See you all in 2015.

Welcome and thank you

Welcome to the Happy Dales Montessori Blog.

The Happy Dales website has undergone some major changes in the last few weeks. I think you will agree, its looking pretty snazzy.

None of this would have been possible with out the amazing talents of Barry Smith. Check out his other projects here, I'm sure you will recognise a few.

In 2011 Barry envisaged the Happy Dales design. He created a colourful 'dales' scene with many well thought out aspects.  Barry went on to bring the design to life with decals on the walls of the Montessori room. The details are amazing, with animals frolicking through the hills and rivers. The children love to discuss the animals they find. They even create stories around what each one is  doing.  I am delighted with the new look website which further showcases his vision and talent.  My appreciation for his hard work is huge. Thank you Barry.

Although the school year is well underway we have lots of things to share over the coming weeks. In the meantime head over to our Facebook page for snippets of the adventures in Happy Dales :)
